![]() ![]() Long story short, i submitted a charge back to my credit card company and they found in my favor and credited my account. Didnt hear back after submitting that request and their website was very confusing to determine the status of my request. I called AA and put in a refund request with them due to them not being able to tell which cancellation occurred first (theirs, or Hoppers). Normally this means I would be entitled to a refund due to the airline cancelling the flight. Will update if anything is affected by Hopper, but at this point I'd recommend calling AA directly.Įdit: So final update on this, after getting a cancellation notification from Hopper for my request, I discovered the flight itself was cancelled by AA. But the American rep put a waiver on my account so basically I have to take a new flight by december 31st and just pay any difference in price. I dialed American directly and the rep said my flight was cancelled but the hopper app doesn't reflect this. I really hope I don't get stuck paying a cancellation fee.Įdit: So as of the night of 3/30, I haven't gotten word back from Hopper. Would calling AA directly allow me to cancel the flight or do I have to go through Hopper?Īlso, any idea of what cancellation practice is in this case? Its a non-refundable, no change ticket, but again I just want credit or the ability to reschedule the flight. Just wondering, if this applies to just cancelling online or cancelling in general. I can't cancel the flight on AAs website as its telling me to contact the travel agency I booked with (i.e. Event got cancelled of course, so looking to cancel the trip (really just want to get credit as I will travel once the event is rescheduled). ![]()
